Action Oldham Fund
Apply for a Grant to change local lives for the better
Action Oldham Seedcorn grants supported by The Holroyd Foundation (charity number 1156845) are now available.
The Holroyd Foundation seeks to promote health, welfare, education and opportunity and are keen to see grants distributed too small, locally based groups.
Grants of up to £1,000 are available to locally based groups who are working with Oldham residents helping them to make to most of their strengths and assets. Examples of this could be
- supporting them to make long term improvements to their lives by enhancing skills (projects that support or encourage local people into work or volunteering, for example: confidence building projects, job clubs, skill building programmes; self-esteem workshops.)
- supporting them to make long term improvements to their wellbeing (projects that improve physical or mental health and wellbeing, for example: starting an exercise or walking group, reading groups, workshops on health awareness projects.)
- supporting them to realise their visions and make long term improvements to their communities (projects that help communities and groups become more sustainable, for example fitting of new flooring enabling a room to be rented out or a feasibility study/business planning to develop a community asset.
The Fund particularly wants to support projects that wish to experiment with new ideas and new approaches to developing opportunities.
The deadline for funding for the Seedcorn Fund is 23 September 2016.
