We offer a learning and development programme covering topics such as management skills, health and safety, fundraising, financial management, volunteer management, communication and interpersonal skills and organisational development to help local voluntary and community and faith groups in the Oldham borough grow and thrive.   In-house tailored training is also available from our accredited trainers. An introduction into the different types of annual accounts set out by the Charity Commission, looking at the difference between cash based and accruals based accounts.
We will then look at the requirements for an independent examination and what this will involve and the respective responsibilities of the independent examiner and trustees. An explanation of what information is required for an independent examination will be provided to help you to prepare for an independent examination.

Budgeting, Cash Flow Forecasting and Management Accounts Wednesday, 29 February, 2012 - 17:30

This course will go through the practical steps involved in preparing a simple budget. Using a budget we will look at preparing a cash flow forecast to help an organisation manage their cash resources. We will then look at the process of producing a simple set of management accounts then comparing these results against the budget, analysing the variances and how this information can influence decision making.
