Beat is the UK’s leading charity supporting anyone affected by eating disorders or difficulties with food, weight and shape. It is estimated that over 1.6 million men and women in the UK have an eating disorder.

Eating disorders are treatable and full recovery is possible.

Beat’s training courses offer an opportunity for you to develop, update or expand your knowledge of eating disorders.  Please see attached for further information.

Access to mental health services for BAME Communities

To address the health inequalities faced by BAME groups in accessing appropriate mental health services, KYP has been commissioned by Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire Strategic Clinical Networks to raise awareness of issues so that service provision and take up is improved. Our focus as part of this GM wide initiative is aimed at supporting organisations delivering (or interested in developing) mental health related services or support for BAME communities.

Website grants available now

The Transform Foundation is delighted to invite you to apply for its Charity Website Grant Programme, which will be providing £18,000 grants to charities to fund the redevelopment of their website in order to increase their ability to raise funds, more effectively serve beneficiaries and raise broader awareness of their cause.

The grant is principally aimed at charities with annual incomes between £350k and £30m, although smaller charities with ambitious plans for digital can also apply.  Larger charities will also be considered for specific project or fundraising sites.

All proceeds from the sale of its homemade cakes, coffee, tea and raffle tickets will be donated to Dementia UK to help provide admiral nurses to support those living with dementia.
