Society Works - Voluntary Sector Chief Officers Group

This group is open to any VAO member that is a voluntary organisation in Oldham that employs staff.  The group meets monthly. The network is set up to improve the prospects for each organisation but also create a greater impact by working together.  The group proactively explores collaboration opportunities and shares information and intelligence. ‘Let’s Co-operate’ a meet the commissioner/provider event was held on 6 December at The Gallery Oldham. The aim of this event was to:

• Understand Oldham Council and NHS Oldham’s current operating framework and commissioning intentions.
• Launch Oldham’s new voluntary sector consortium – ‘Society Works’.
• Create the opportunity for dialogue between VCS providers and commissioners to enable shared outcomes to be met.
